Media Education Statement.
Media Literacy is an important aspect to the ever changing world of technology. There will always be benefits and consequences to how this technology is implemented. I, personally, believe it’s a great tool to provide such a wide range of artistic and intelligence growth. However, as all things, it must be done in moderation. With that, the concept of understanding how media works both physically and metaphorically is important for all young students to understand early. This promotes a sense of critical analysis that may otherwise be missed.

Political Poster.
Art IS Primary Education
Erik X. Perez
This poster captures the "stepping stones" concept used when describing academic process. However, most don't see just how often art contributes to the hidden careers within the stones. Each layer points to the idea of success, graduation being at the top of the list for many. The poster is designed to communicate that, no matter your field of education, art always provides a crucial stepping stone to a successful student and a successful career.
Soundscape Project.
A map of my sound design process being inspired from the rain. We follow the journey of my mind as it creates a story with sound. We start with rain, complex but calming. We then move into the lake, where that chaos becomes contained. From there, we move on to an individual droplet. This begins the foundation of imagination. This is where I begin to dream. What can I create with a single droplet sound? Next, we design the sound following the same feeling the droplet dream gave me. Following that, we move into adding tempo and rhythm to the idea. All this together forms our first melody (music). Which then, after full development, allows me to become one with the rain once again. This cycle continues as the water cycle.
